Our desire to merge cultures and combine two distinct design styles became a reality in 2020. Marmaclub was created and founded by mother and daughter duo Kirsti Øberg and Marie Guldberg. Now, we’re bringing inspiration from Mexico City and Oslo to the rest of the world.

Marmaclub’s designs are inspired by the ancient Latin American Chaquira beading technique, and imbued with a contemporary Norwegian sensibility. All of Marmaclub’s pieces are hand-crafted by skilled artisans who practice this heritage technique in a mastered and novel way. Inclusive, romantic, and expressive; Mother and daughter founders Kirsti Øberg and Marie Guldberg are creating fashion to inspire and covet.

OUR BRAND
MarmaClub products possess an airy Norwegian design ethos rendered with authentic Latin American craftsmanship. Standing proudly at the intersection of two cultures, Marmaclub produces socially-conscious sustainable fashion. The brand has won acclaim from conscious fashion devotees for its social entrepreneurship, support of craftspeople, and environmental focus. Marmaclub’s accessories are entirely handmade, composed of recyclable glass, and utilize a heritage Chaquira beading technique.

Marmaclub is designed by creative director Marie Guldberg, and inspired by her life in Mexico City. Marie creates products that evoke classic Nordic design realized with heritage Chaquira beading. Marmaclub’s designs combine an alluring sculptural silhouette with a striking color or pattern.
Marmaclub goods are proudly handmade in Latin American artisan communities. Each accessory is diligently hand-beaded over days by a professional craftsperson. Marmaclub works ethically with our artisan suppliers, and strives to grow with our artisan communities as a sustainable enterprise.
